Bergen Kunstmuseum (Bergen Art Museum) is located in the very heart of the historic Norwegian city, and is one of the largest art galleries in the Nordic world. The permanent collection contains representative pieces from the Renaissance period up to the present day. It is spread over three buildings. The museum houses some of the finest works of Edvard Munch, as well as several other pieces by modern masters. It also hosts temporary exhibitions. There is a shop selling posters, prints, books and catalogues.
