Ballangen Museum is located a couple of kilometres from Ballangen, in Bjørkåsen. It is signposted from the E6 highway. The museum’s exhibits concentrate heavily on the history of the mining operations that have been going on in the area since the seventeenth century. The museum also contains displays about fishing, agriculture and domestic and school life in the past. It is part of the Museums Nord Group.
