The Old Church of Bø lies in the heart of the little Telemark town. It dates back to the middle of the twelfth century. The little church is in Romanesque style. The pulpit and altarpiece both date from the middle of the seventeenth century. The altarpiece depicts Christ crucified and contains an inscription of the name of God in Hebrew. The church possesses a medieval crucifix that would have been used in processions prior to the Reformation.
