The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is a private art gallery that is fast gaining an international reputation. It is housed in a modern building completed in 1993. In all it contains more than two thousand five hundred square metres of exhibition space. Cutting edge exhibitions of Norwegian and foreign art are mounted on a temporary basis. These cover the period from the end of the Second World War to the present day. Guided tours can be arranged by appointment. The gallery has a shop.
