Asker Museum lies to the north of the town centre. It is housed in an attractive nineteenth century building bequeathed to the public by the artists Tilla and Otto Valstad. The permanent collection, known as the "Valstad Collection" contains the many artefacts, items of furniture and works of art thought worthy of preservation. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and chamber music concerts. The attractive museum garden, inspired by the Baroque period, is well worth seeing.
