Asker church lies just to the north of the town centre. There was originally a medieval church on this site, built in the twelfth century, which unfortunately burnt down in the 1800s. The new church is in neo-Gothic style and seats around five hundred. It dates from 1879. The altarpiece is from the early eighteenth century, made by Lars Sivertsen. The church serves a Lutheran congregation.
