Arendal Trinity Church lies in the heart of the old part of the town. The imposing structure, with its high tower and spire, is a local landmark. There has been a church on this site since at least the seventeenth century. This structure, completed in the 1880s, was designed as a visible symbol of the wealth and prosperity of the town, and incorporates more than 1.4 million bricks. The tower is 83 metres high and the church seats one thousand two hundred.
