Andøy Local Museum is situated near the main attractions in the regional centre of Andenes. The exhibitions focus on local history and rural life in the region. There is a special emphasis on the story of hunter Hilmar Nøis, who wintered on Svalbard for decades. There is an interesting collection of local geological specimens. Exhibitions also deal with the history of fisheries.
