Andenes Lighthouse lies near the centre of the little coastal town. It is a key local landmark. It stands fifty metres high. The lighthouse has been here since 1859, although it is now automated. There are one hundred and forty eight steps which visitors can ascend to reach the top. There are excellent views over the sea from here. You can receive a certificate for getting to the top.
