The summit of Aksla, the "town mountain" provides stunning views over both Ålesund and the surrounding landscape and seascape. Particularly stunning is the view over the range of mountains known as the Sunnmøre Alps. At the peak you will find a restaurant, cafe and viewing platform. There is a stairway with 418 steps that leads up from the Town Park. Alternatively you can make the journey by road.
