The Akershus Arts Centre lies near to the centre of Lillestrøm. It has a dedicated gallery which mounts several exhibitions each year featuring contemporary art, design and applied art. The centre also acts as a regional support centre for local artists. Some of the exhibitions here are sales exhibitions. An education department caters for children.
