The Aker Stadium lies near the centre of Molde on the waterfront. It is one of the most modern sports stadiums in Scandinavia. Designed by Kjell Kosberg and completed in 1998, it has a granite and glass facade. It was financed by local entrepreneurs. The stadium’s facilities are first-class, especially those for the media. The cafeteria is open to visitors, and guided tours are conducted. It acts as the home ground of Molde FC.
