The Adelsteen Normann Gallery is located in a fine old building near the centre of Bodø. This building, called Hålogatun, was once the residence of the county commissioner. The gallery shows thirty of the finest works of Adelsteen Normann, one of the finest Romantic painters that Norway has produced. The painter is best known for his landscapes and fjordscapes, and for his ability to capture the wonder of the Land of the Midnight Sun.
